[bind10-dev] Daily check-ins?

All,
I considered the idea of having a short (15-minute) call each day. But
even if we limited this to ISC staff only, there really isn't a time
that this works (there are 9 hours time difference between California
and the Netherlands).
So, as an alternative, someone suggested maybe we could use a jabber
room for this purpose.
Here is what I propose:
* We create a new jabber room just for a daily check in of
everyone
* Each day people post a few lines saying what they worked on
yesterday, and what their plans are for the day, and maybe if
you need help with something
That's it!
The idea is to let everyone have some idea of the status of the
progress, so we can try to keep some momentum going forward. This is
*not* a management tool - I have a pretty good idea of what is going on
with the project, and I am not trying to add extra reporting mechanisms.
The jabber room would not be used for conversation - that would make it
too hard for people to look at backlog and figure out what everyone is
up to.
If this makes sense, I'll create the room (something like
'bind10-daily-status' perhaps?) and then nag everyone every day until it
becomes a habit to check it. It's on the agenda to be discussed on
tomorrow's call.
