About how, we have some guides at http://bind10.isc.org/wiki/GitUsage. As you
would be putting a whole directory inside, git add directory/ adds all files
inside (recursively). The only thing to watch for there is generated files, it's
easy to add them this way by accident.
Anyway, as you don't have an account, you might either wait (the thing is not in
any hurry), or clone the anonymous git and push it to some repository readable
for others (there should be some manual about how to push around multiple
repositories on the Internet), someone would push it to the main repository for
you.
About where, I believe either the tools or tests directories would be the
choice.
