I looked at a Windows port briefly last year and managed to get libdns++
across as well.  I reported the problems I found in ticket 318
(http://bind10.isc.org/ticket/318).

Regarding the question of sed v Perl in the build process, one of the
avenues I was looking at was to write a special program to perform the
substitution.  This is put in a separate MSVC project which is the first
to run in the build process.  The result is then used in the pre-build
step of each subsequent project to process the .in files.
