+1 from me to include it.  Asking a few other Debian folks about it,
there doesn't seem to be any consensus on it one way or the other.
Concerns were raised about newer gcc versions breaking the build, but
the gcc in a given Debian stable release shouldn't ever be updated to
start throwing new warnings.  I tend to agree w/ the other point raised-
if you don't know how to fix the warning or turn off -Werror, you
probably shouldn't be trying to compile from source.
