I'm afraid I still don't get...that basically seems to be the same
thing as just using a file-based shared memory. When you say
"prefer", you probably mean something less preferred than that. Could
you perhaps clarify both so we (or I) can understand what you really
"prefer"?

It may also depend on what you meant, but this is true whether it's
file-based or in-memory based shared memory.
To me, the major (if not only) difference of the file-based approach
is that we can use it at startup time to minimize the load time
substantially (which would be nearly zero in the case of hot restart);
it's not about how we replace a zone for an already running system.
