 I think we need to discuss about number of dependencies log4cxx adds.

 It depends on APR (Apache Portable Runtime) and the separate apr-util
 libraries. They provide numerous routines including atomic operations,
 buckets, base64, file I/O, getopt, hashing, locking, date handling,
 database libraries, dbm and sdbm, ldap, md4 and md5, memcache, sha1,
 parsing URIs, user IDs, UUID, string matching, XML, and more. Maybe some
 is duplicating our existing code. It is for portability and may be
 lightweight.
