 I run parallel builds by default here too (-j2 on my Raspberry Pi and -j7
 on my desktop), without any issues.

 While it would be nice to use something that parallelizes across
 directories, or one that detects dependencies automatically (I'm curious
 about SCons, but apparently we need to look at cmake). But I don't think
 we have any actual bugs in this area.
