Hello BIND 10 developers,
Today I compiled and installed bind10-devel-20100917 on my Mac laptop
(OS X 10.6.4). I then started it up, and after a while I noticed that my
laptop fans came on, which usually indicates that there's heavy CPU
usage. The top command confirmed this:
PID COMMAND %CPU TIME
2690 top 4.8 00:00.92
32680 Python 43.8 03:18.53
32679 Python 44.4 03:18.62
32678 Python 43.9 03:18.34
32677 Python 45.7 03:16.27
32676 b10-auth 0.0 00:00.01
32675 Python 0.0 00:00.10
32674 Python 0.0 00:00.11
32672 Python 0.0 00:00.13
The 4 python processes at the top of that list, which are using up most
of the CPU, belong to b10-xfrout, b10-xfrin, b10-zonemgr and b10-cmdctl.
I didn't expect them to be so busy. Is this normal, or are they caught
up in some kind of loop?
Regards,
Anand
