omapi callbacks

Hi!
I wonder if anyone here could post an example of how to use
dhcpctl_set_callback() with the ISC DHCP server? What I want to do is
construct a "packet sniffing" relay that is aware of all transactions
between DHCP server and clients. For example, I would like the relay
to be aware of DHCPRELEASE messages that are unicast from client to
server without passing the relay. Is it possible, and how would I go
about registering such a callback?
Ideally, I would like to say to the server "notify me with a callback
whenever any of the DHCP clients that initially registered with the
server via this relay change DHCP state". Is this possible?
(for info, what I really want to do is update an LDAP server when
clients get new DHCP leases, extend or release their leases etc.)
Regards,
