Ah, missed that one. But this is good news - I'm now running 4.1.1b2
with only two local patches (as opposed to the 6 I needed for 4.1.1b1).

Those two patches are non-critical:

1. Patch to common/bpf.c to be enable compilation with the USE_SOCKETS
define on BSD (to remove all icky broadcast traffic handling - assumes
all your DHCP traffic is either unicast directly to the DHCP server or
handled via a DHCP relay agent). See

  https://lists.isc.org/pipermail/dhcp-users/2009-August/009667.html

I was happy to see that step 3 of my recipe in that message, explicit
removal of the USE_BPF define, is no longer needed in 4.1.1b2.

2. Minor patch to server/dhcpd.c to correct two obviously incorrect
error messages. See

  https://lists.isc.org/pipermail/dhcp-users/2009-August/009668.html

In any case - 4.1.1b2 is running great here, in a failover pair. Stable,
no obvious memory leaks, no crashes.
