dns QPS max and dhcp lease per second max problem

Hi,

I have checked the dhcp/dns load issue. And found there is some peak value much higher than avg. for example.
DNS avg 3000, peak 160000.
DHCP avg 500, peak 65000.

I believe the peak moment is some sort of attack?

Could I get a clue what thing can cause the peak dns/dhcp query? And anyway to stop the peak? Or protect the peak?

Any comments will be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Julie
