Has any one compiled INN-2.2.2 (using the cnfs) on Solaris-X86 R7, Need
help
I have compiled INN-2.2.2 on Splaris 7.0 with gcc version 2.95.2
19991024 (release). It compiled without so much as a warning. When I
try to set Up a two GIG SCSI drive, all seems to work fine. The system
here is running on an Intet L440GX with two Pentium II 400 MHz processors
3 SCSI controllers (one 2490UW) and the two channel on the motherboard.
The mother board has 256 M of ECC memory. The system is running On Line
Disk Suite V4.2 and has 10 scsi disks connected to it.
Disk d100 is a meta devise with 4 four Gig disks striped together. And I
get the following when I try to use them:
Apr 9 20:18:15 rbdc innfeed[6415]: CNFS-sm: CNFSinitdisks: mmap for
/cycbuff/d100 of
fset 0 len -65536 failed: Not enough space
Apr 9 20:18:15 rbdc innfeed[6415]: SM storage method 'cnfs' failed
initialization
Apr 9 20:18:15 rbdc innfeed[6415]: SM one or more storage methods failed
initializat
When I try to set up a four gig disk I get the following:
CNFS-sm: CNFSflushhead: write failed (-1 bytes):
Bad file number
Mar 29 22:28:31 rbdc innfeed[4131]: SM storage method 'cnfs' failed
initialization
Mar 29 22:28:31 rbdc innfeed[4131]: SM one or more storage methods failed
initializat
ion
Mar 29 22:28:31 rbdc innfeed[4131]: Storage manager initialization failed
This error messages occurs even when I format the four GIG disk into 2
two
GIG slices.
As I said a true 2 GIG disk with only one slice seems to work fine.
Also Expire complains about "TOO many open files".
I would dearly appreciate any thoughts, suggestions, or whatever anyone
may have to offer.
Many thanks
Andy Pitts
