how did that calculation go again?  8K per article, so:

%grep @$ history | wc -l
 7471229

Based on your assessment below, I should need ~5.14gig of disk space for
overviews?  I'm just starting to seriously consisder doing the switch on
my main server, and want to make sure that I have the resources required
to do it before I get myself back'd into a corner :(
