Hello,
my INN installation works on a SUN Ultra-Enterprise 3000 with IP
aliasing (one IP is a "main" address, one for DNS service and one
for NNTP). It looks like this:
hme0: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index
2
inet 1.1.1.1 netmask ffffffc0 broadcast 1.2.3.4
ether 8:0:30:80:37:50
hme0:1: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500
index 2
inet 1.1.1.2 netmask ffffffc0 broadcast 1.2.3.4
hme0:2: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500
index 2
inet 1.1.1.3 netmask ffffffc0 broadcast 1.2.3.4
DNS records for 1.1.1.1 is "host", "ns" for 1.1.1.2 and "news" for
1.1.1.3.
My inn.conf has the entries
bindaddress: 1.1.1.3
sourceaddress: 1.1.1.3
but my peers reports what my innfeed tries to establish connection from
"host" (1.1.1.1), not from "news" (1.1.1.3) ! Where is a problem ?
(INN version 2.2.3 under Solaris 8).
Thanks,
