Problems with INN-2.2.3 and SuSE6.4

That's definitely a bad date.  Can't you fix the originating software?

Because the year AD 100 is not representable in the history file format,
so telling INN to accept really old articles still doesn't let it accept
an article posted *that* long ago.  :)
