Turned out that said program only supported that option on Solaris. It's
still being used on Solaris, but the other platforms don't do things that
way.
Large file support is tried for Linux in CURRENT, but I'm still hoping for
autoconf 2.50 which has a large-file macro built in that should do all of
the right things.
