Wierd 2.3.1 server problem (no matching entry in storage.conf)

Hi

We have a weird problem that I can't figure out.

A "rouge" message keeps on taking out our feeder machine. The weird
thing is if I try to feed an article myself into the server, leaving
out required header items, it pukes about missing entries in
storage.conf. However if I change the messageID slightly it then
moans as it should about the missing header info, so I don't think
that the messageID is too long.

I upgraded this server from 2.3experimental 14-Dec-1999 yesterday.

Half the irritation is that the server throttles, I'd much rather
it go on and accept and store the articles it can and log those it
can't.

Our starage.conf:
method cnfs {
        newsgroups: *
        class: 0
        size: 0,1048576
        expires: 0,0
        options: MAIN
}

maxartsize in inn.conf is set to 1000000.
