This is the passage from the newgroup message:

For your newsgroups file:
hamster.it.announce	Announces about Hamster. <hamster-it-announce at moderators.isc.org> (Moderated)

Ah, ok, that explains why the old machine had no problem with the
hamster.it.announce group description.
