INN DOWN [can't write Broken pipe]

That's an incoming connection to your host from feeder.kornet.net which
died (was unexpectedly closed) while your server was trying to send a
reply to some command.  This generally doesn't indicate a problem with
INN, but rather with the network or with the remote host.

That would certainly explain why remote connections were cut off.
