Well, interesting.
reader1% expire -ntNvx -z foo expire.ctl
Ignoring bad line, "[710B342C70BD..."
That's more output than it produced last time. However:
reader1% cat foo
reader1%
Meanwhile, there are files in that directory from May 2002.
