Lost newsfeed

I've done a google on my error message and checked the archives without
result. HOpe you can help me.

We're running an old version of inn, version 2.2, the version just
before all the config files changed. I'm getting this kind of message
in nntpsend.log:

nntpsend: [26962] start
nntpsend: [26962] stop
nntpsend: [26962:26990] begin newsfeed.ourfeed.com Wed Oct 20 02:01:01
MET DST 2004
nntpsend: [26962:26990] innxmit -a -t300 -T7500 news01.ourfeed.com ...
Can't connect to news01.ourfeed.com, Bad file number
nntpsend: [26962:26990] end newsfeed.ourfeed.com Wed Oct 20 02:01:01 MET
DST 2004

This started to happen last week just after two changes. The first was
that we moved the server to a new segment behind the firewall. Since
the outside address remained the same, I can't see that this is the
cause. The other change was that a colleague made changes in the dns
relating to the news server, and I'm afraid that he has changed the name
and/or reverse lookup from what they originally were so that the
newsfeed is rejecting our server. Unfortunately I don't remember which
name we originally registered the server with (we host several domains).
I'm trying to get this info from the newsfeed, but I'm not sure that the
error is caused by this.

Grateful for any help.

mvh/regards

James
