question about email and Inn

I'm in the process of ditching MS Exchange Svr, and one feature that I'm
trying to replace is that of having a mailing list emailed directly to a
news folder.

For instance, in Exchange's Internet newsgroups folders, it has an email
address associated with it. Even though this setup isn't truly a news
server, it can recieve email from news mailing lists like this and put it
into a folder hosted by the news server.

Can Inn do something like this? recieve email from a list and stuff it into
a news group folder?

I'm relatively new to Inn, and have been thru several FAQs, and wanted some
opinions.
