Hi,
RFC 5536 states that
| [...]
| The Injection-Info header field contains information provided by the
| injecting news server as to how an article entered the Netnews
| system; it assists in tracing the article's true origin.
|
| NOTE: Some of this information has previously been sent in non-
| standardized header fields such as NNTP-Posting-Host, X-Trace,
| X-Complaints-To, and others. Once a news server generates an
| Injection-Info header field, it should have no need to send these
| non-standard header fields.
OTOH, the O flag in INN's newsfeeds file relies on the contents of the
X-Trace: header to determine the origin of an article. As this header
is supposed to be obsoleted by the Injection-Info header, are there any
plans to change innd in order to provide origin-based feeds based on the
information provided by the Injection-Info: header rather than the X-Trace:
header?
