make createdb

[Val Genova]

im getting this error when I run the make createdb command:

debian:~/openreg-1.0.2/db# ls
Makefile  replication.sql  sample_ote.sql  srs-mappings.sql  srs.sql
debian:~/openreg-1.0.2/db# ls
Makefile  replication.sql  sample_ote.sql  srs-mappings.sql  srs.sql
debian:~/openreg-1.0.2/db# make createdb
createdb -U pgsql -E UTF-8 srs
createdb: could not connect to database template1: FATAL:  IDENT
authentication failed for user "pgsql"
make: *** [createdb] Error 1

pls advice, thanks in advance
