Bind 8.2.2p5 listening on random UDP ports?

Hi,

Anyone know why my BIND nameds are listening on random UDP ports? Bound to
any interface too!

netstat -anp |grep named |grep udp
udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:1765            0.0.0.0:* 18664/named
udp        0      0 192.168.10.1:53         0.0.0.0:* 18664/named
udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:1736            0.0.0.0:* 18029/named
udp        0      0 203.121.14.2:53         0.0.0.0:* 18029/named

Strange huh?

And I went to the trouble of binding them to particular interfaces too.
Sheesh.

Btw, how does the performance for BIND 8 compare to dnscache?
