BIND handles multiple domains - not so with Win2K DNS

One of the scenarios discussed in the O'Reilly book _Windows 2000 Active

Directory_ is this. Suppose you have 50 sites that need a server, and
10 domains. You would need 500 domain controllers to handle that. Or
flatten out to one domain (what MS wants) and you would only need 50
domain controllers. Or, wait for the next release of Windows.

Has anyone else had to justify why MS DNS cannot take over from BIND in
their organization? When they ask if you can handle SRV records,
dynamic updates, and IXFRs with BIND, be sure to ask them if Win2K can
handle multiple domains on a domain controller. It doesn't.
