expireover and cyc

Hi
I would like to decrease the size of my overview , and for that I 
modifie the way I expire the data inside the overview
I mean I put groupebaseexpiry to true and I run the expireover program 
with the Flags -N and I modify the expire.ctl
but it seems not to change anythong. I got 12 month old articles in my 
overview I put in the expire.ctl 3 month
So what can i do ?
ps I use Inn 2.3 2 with ovdb
